AN Abrasion is visible on the arm and as we can see when the image is enlarge that , there is a feeling that the lines of abrasion are directed in a particular way ! this gives the idea of the force that caused the abrasion.
an abrasion can be a result of friction between the body and a ROUGH SURFACE , the force can be the outcome of an injury due to a fall or due to some assault activity , on the victim !
In abrasion , only the superficial skin layers are affected and there is hyperemia and edema of the skin !
Hyperemia is maximum at the time of fresh abrasion. and the alive victim can report a BURNING PAIN and burning sensation.
however , in case of a DEAD VICTIM, only hyperemia may be visible with edema , A POINT WORTH NOTING IS THAT , abrasion may be an act of hiding/forging THE EVIDENCE ! YES IT COULD be.
it may be given to the body after the DEATH OF THE VICTIM ! In that case , presence or absence of REDNESS and edema will depend on the time after death. ! or , it might be given just after the death of the victim to hide the original cause of death etc ..
